As a follow-up to our previous post, the Commercial Warehousing team has begun receiving their newly purchased forklifts. In an effort to improve operational capabilities and capacity at our distribution facilities, we have in increased and upgraded our forklift fleet with the addition of 30 new pieces of material handling equipment at a cost of over $1,000,000. This move is a direct reflection of the growth at Commercial Warehousing and is just one of several steps being made to help the employees from a capacity and efficiency perspective.
The executive team, led by Kevin Margeson, President of Commercial Warehousing, felt now was the time to make this investment in the company’s future and that it will help ensure our operational excellence for years to come.
This new equipment will also enhance our case pick capability which is critical as we move forward and will help us maintain a world class levels of pick and pack services and operational execution.
